This garden had issues with burrowing rodents, so I designed and built a fence that sat on 18-24” of concrete below grade. It was for a fairly large, community garden, so I built three custom entrance gates and used a black PVC coated 1” wire mesh metal fence framed in custom cedar panels.

I had a lot of fun building this with some help from the community gardeners.
