Truck Camper!
This project started on a whim when I was given a 1950s camper that ended up being too far gone to repair. I took inspiration from some of the old camper’s shape, and designed a much larger custom camper with added cantilever structural support off the ceiling joists to create a bigger (and stronger) over-the-cab loft.
My plans for a majority of my projects are laughable. Usually it’s a simple line drawing on a sticky note or the back of some junk mail. With this one, I drew up a few sides digitally, although I changed the plans some as I went.
The camper is loaded! It’s got a 3 burner stove, oven, a thermostat and forced air (propane), tankless hot water, 21 gallon potable water storage tank, separate battery system, dimmable LED lights and electronic charging ports, custom cabinets, and more.
