Truck Camper!

This project started on a whim when I was given a 1950s camper that ended up being too far gone to repair. I took inspiration from some of the old camper’s shape, and designed a much larger custom camper with added cantilever structural support off the ceiling joists to create a bigger (and stronger) over-the-cab loft.

My plans for a majority of my projects are laughable. Usually it’s a simple line drawing on a sticky note or the back of some junk mail. With this one, I drew up a few sides digitally (shown below), although I changed the plans some as I went.

At the time of this writing, the interior is still in process, but I’m expecting it to have two king beds, a kitchen sink, water heater, three burner propane range and oven, and more.
